Although the seaside is about an hour and a half drive away, there are a number of sandy river-beaches in close proximity to La Ferriere and there is canoeing nearby which is very popular in the summer months. There is also a 5 kilometre lake 20 minutes away, with sandy beaches, beachside restaurants, children's play areas, picnic areas etc.
We have mapped out several walking tours and we can equip our guests with rucksacks and detailed maps to enjoy the French countryside on foot.
